Chemical Operator
Pay Rate: $23.00/ HR Location: Kings Mountain, NC
Schedule: Monday- Friday | 6 am -2 pm

About the Job

A manufacturing company in King Mountain, NC, is seeking a Chemical Operator to join their production team. This role involves filtering, packaging, and labeling chemicals while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safety-first culture through proper behavior and adherence to procedures.
• Perform filtration of quality-checked materials into appropriate containers.
• Package and label materials accurately for storage and shipping.
• Maintain inventory records and report product yields.
• Assist with batch-building and repacking of materials.
• Operate automated filling equipment and forklifts as required.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping.
• Follow hazardous waste management procedures and comply with all safety regulations.
• Participate in spill/emergency response training and execution.
• Use RF scanners to track batch tickets in SAP.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or chemical handling is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written/verbal instructions in English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Must obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and balancing .
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs .
• Operate forklifts and move objects up to 25 lbs using lifting devices.
