Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners seeks a Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support inpatient rounding at two hospitals and provide outpatient clinic coverage in Nashville, TN. The role requires a master's degree in nursing, Tennessee NP/RN licensure, BLS certification, and experience with neurosurgery/spine, ortho, or ICU care is preferred. Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners (STMP) is looking for a Neurosurgery APP for our Howell Allen Clinic.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Thomas Medical Partners to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights

• Rounding on Inpatients in both Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and West Hospitals
• Experience in Spine/Ortho/Neuro along with ICU experience is a plus
• Additional cross coverage with outpatient clinic is available

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
• Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
• Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
• Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
