Job Description

Specialty Pharmacy Manager

We are seeking a qualified and visionary Specialty Pharmacy Manager to lead the development and ongoing operations of a new outpatient specialty pharmacy. This is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality pharmacy services, with a strong focus on patient care and regulatory adherence.

This role oversees day-to-day operations, staff performance, clinical coordination, and compliance with state, federal, and 340B regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and launch of a new specialty pharmacy location.
  • Manage and mentor pharmacy personnel, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Develop and monitor pharmacy programs, quality assurance standards, and patient service metrics.
  • Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy, specialty clinics, and patients , ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Oversee 340B inventory management and compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct audits of pharmacy operations, revenue cycle processes, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to medication safety standards and legal dispensing requirements.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelors or Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD or RPh)
  • Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the state of Indiana
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or pharmacy management
  • Strong understanding of 340B compliance , clinical operations, and patient-centered care

Preferred:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy or pharmacy leadership
  • MTM Certification (Medication Therapy Management) from NBMTM or equivalent
