Lead a High-Impact Pharmacy Operation as a Pharmacist in Charge Mobile, AL

A respected compounding pharmacy in the Mobile, Alabama area is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee daily operations, manage a growing team and ensure excellence in non-sterile compounding. This full-time, direct hire role offers competitive pay, strong benefits, and the opportunity to guide a high-volume pharmacy serving diverse patient needs.

Position Highlights

  • Salary: $180,000 annually
  • Location: Mobile, AL (onsite role)
  • Environment: High-volume 503A non-sterile & hazardous compounding pharmacy

  • Work Setting: MondayFriday, full-time leadership position

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring alignment with production and organizational goals.
  • Direct and support pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Manage all aspects of non-sterile and hazardous compounding, including technology, documentation, engineering controls, and facility standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with USP <795> and USP <800> , state pharmacy regulations, and accrediting body standards.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance programs, environmental monitoring, and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Drive innovation in compounding processes, new product formulation, and operational improvements.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews to uphold licensure and compliance.
  • Lead training, development, and performance management for pharmacy team members.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited program.
  • Active Alabama pharmacist license in good standing and willingness to obtained additional licenses as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-sterile and hazardous compounding.
  • Strong understanding of USP <795> , USP <800> , and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience managing operations in a high-volume compounding environment (5,000+ prescriptions/month preferred).
  • Proven leadership ability and strong organizational skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.
