The ideal candidate will join a team of experienced pediatric hospitalists plus a team of outpatient pediatricians, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and an on-staff Neonatologist. . Direct care of neonatal patients aged 0 to 44 weeks post menstrual age within the hospital. Consultations with colleagues on patients aged 0 to 18 years from within the region (clinic or hospital-based). Inpatient consults as requested . Collaboration with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, as needed. Precepting and direct teaching of residents and other trainees, as re: Research and other academic pursuits. 7 on / 7 off position - 24 weeks per year.
