Built on proprietary conversational AI technology, it functions as a virtual therapist capable of real-time, multilingual voice interaction, helping users improve their emotional well-being.

The Role

Were hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and optimize the systems powering myHomas real-time AI-driven experiences. Youll work closely with the CTO and product team to develop backend services that support live conversational AI, audio streaming, transcription, and response generation.

What Youll Do

• Build and maintain backend services for real-time audio streaming, transcription, and AI orchestration
• Design scalable, secure backend architecture and APIs (REST / WebSocket)
• Develop and optimize microservices for low-latency, high-reliability interactions
• Collaborate with AI, product, and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability to ensure system stability
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews

You Have

• Strong backend development experience with Python and modern frameworks
• Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets or similar streaming technologies
• Strong understanding of REST API design, microservices, and distributed architectures
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and containerized deployments
• Knowledge of data storage patterns, message queues, and event-driven architectures
• Interest in AI systems, real-time interaction, or conversational technologies

Bonus

• Experience with audio streaming, speech-to-text systems, or LLM integrations
• Experience contributing to systems for consumer-facing apps with high engagement
• Familiarity with Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar tools

The Benefits

As a Senior Backend Engineer you can expect a base of $140,000 to $180,000 as well as health, dental, vision, 401k and more
