Job Position: Special Education Teacher (Elementary School)
Location: Des Plaines, IL 60016
Pay Rate: $40$50 per hour , based on experience
Shift: MondayFriday, 7:20 AM 2:35 PM
Description:
Birch Agency is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work in an elementary school setting for the remainder of the school year . This is a full-time, school-based position supporting a small caseload of students.
Position Details:Role: Special Education Teacher
Setting: Elementary School
Caseload: Approximately 58 students
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:20 AM 2:35 PM
Start: ASAP (for the remainder of the school year)
Location: Near Des Plaines, IL
$40$50 per hour , based on experience
Self-contained special education teacher for grades 3rd through 5th , specializing in behavioral needs
Provide primary literacy, math, science, and social studies instruction in small group settings
Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collect and analyze data on student IEP goals to drive instruction
Collaborate and communicate with IEP teams, parents, and school staff
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
Experience working with elementary students, preferably in a self-contained or behavior-focused setting
Strong classroom management, instructional, and collaboration skills
