As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) at Therapy Matters, you'll work under the guidance of experienced SLPs, delivering impactful therapy while growing professionally in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver Therapy Services: Implement evidence-based speech and language interventions, including play-based and augmentative communication strategies, to support pediatric clients in our Chandler clinic.
  • Assist in therapy sessions focused on articulation, language development, and social communication, fostering engagement and skill growth.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and neurodiversity-affirming therapy environment.
  • Support Evaluations & Documentation: Assist SLPs in conducting communication assessments to inform treatment plans for receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency, and social communication.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and contributions to evaluation and discharge reports.
  • Collaborate with Families & Teams: Work closely with families, providing education and support to help clients achieve their goals. Partner with BCBAs, OTs, PTs, and other team members in our multidisciplinary setting to deliver holistic, client-centered care. Participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training to enhance outcomes.
  • Uphold Professional Standards: Adhere to professional, ethical, and facility standards, including safety regulations and clinic policies. Maintain compliance with Arizona DDD guidelines, insurance authorizations, and billing processes. Engage in continuous learning to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy.
Skills You Will Use

Implementing individualized therapy plans under SLP supervision. Supporting pediatric clients with diverse needs, including autism and developmental delays. Communicating effectively with families and multidisciplinary team members. Collecting and organizing data to track client progress. Adapting to both center-based and occasional in-home therapy settings. Navigating Arizona DDD guidelines and billing processes.
