Tax Manager

Position Overview
Our full-service, boutique firm is seeking a growth-minded Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and strategic planning for a diverse client portfolio. This hybrid role (3 days/week in our San Jose office) offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, deliver tailored tax strategies, and contribute to a firm known for its responsiveness and personalized service. We are also open to Remote candidates nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax returns (Individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, 1065).
• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize financial outcomes.
• Conduct tax research and stay current on evolving regulations.
• Support and manage tax audits, including documentation and client representation.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax-related reporting.
• Advise clients on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
• Review tax accounting practices and ensure precision in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in tax planning and compliance.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws.
• Proficiency with tax software and analytics tools.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in risk management and corporate tax strategy.
