As a Lead Accountant, you will collaborate closely with the District Controller to oversee financial operations across multiple locations. This role requires exceptional communication skills and teamwork as you work with both accounting staff and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Play a vital role in the monthly financial close process, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ledger journal entries, and Accounts Payable management.
Act as the primary contact for daily accounting inquiries.
Conduct rate analysis and reviews.
Maintain effective communication regarding financial information with business teams.
Manage the flow of accounting data to and from various remote facilities.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly sales tax filings.
Contribute to the planning and execution of the annual financial budgeting process.
Provide training to non-financial personnel on accounting procedures and compliance with internal controls.
Participate in site visits and attend meetings, which may involve occasional travel.
Potential opportunities for relocation may be available.
Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
A minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is required.
Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.
