The Social Media and PR Manager will drive our social media strategy and public relations efforts, amplifying brand visibility across digital and traditional channels. By leveraging the full range of assets including the corporate website, a full suite of digital marketing tools, and Nordic industry thought leaders, this role will increase brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive traffic and leads, operating on both strategic and tactical levels. This candidate is also creative, well-versed in the latest trends and best practices across various social media platforms and experienced in creative storytelling to elevate our public presence. Key responsibilities
  • Social media, press releases, media relations, and management of supporting agencies
  • Plan and execute a cohesive social media strategy to boost brand awareness, engagement, and growth across platforms such as BlueSky, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
  • Coordinate with our agency to develop and manage PR campaigns, including press releases and media pitches to secure coverage
  • Write compelling content for both social media (posts, graphics, videos) and PR (statements, articles, releases), ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives
  • Work with media editors/bloggers/community managers for timely and useable content submissions
  • Manage social media presence for executive leadership, creating and curating content that aligns with their personal brand, engages key stakeholders, and reflects organizational values, while ensuring a consistent tone across platforms
  • Drive employment brand initiatives on social media, showcasing company culture, employee stories, and career opportunities to attract top talent and strengthen the company's reputation as an employer of choice
  • Routinely monitor and analyze social media performance and PR outcomes to provide data-driven insights to leadership
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, graphic designers, and other marketing team members guiding social and PR initiatives from concept to creation
    • Perform other general marketing activities as needed
    • Any special projects as may be assigned
    Skills and experience
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field
    • Five years of experience working in social media, preferably for a technology, healthcare, or business services company in digital, with at least 3 to 5 years focused on social media engagement, brand reputation, and lead generation
    • Deep knowledge of social, digital, traditional, and mobile media best practices, as well as experience creating and developing social media marketing best practices within an organization
    • Any or all of the following skills would be preferred:
    • B2B writing experience
      • High-tech experience
      • Familiarity with the AP Style Guide
    • Familiarity with healthcare industry
    • Eye for design
    • Video editing skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at one time
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Canva
    • Familiarity with Adobe suite and Hootsuite Amplify
    Additional details
    • Ability to travel as needed (less than 10-15 percent)
